BCA runs entirely on volunteer energy. As we grow, we’re always grateful for members who want to support an activity, help with an event, or even start something new. If you’re open to contributing, just add a brief comment (optional) and we’ll contact you.
Help Lead Two of BCA’s Favorite Evenings
We’re looking for members who might enjoy coordinating one of our well-loved activities: Quiz Night or Travel Share.
Quiz Night – Activity Leader
Do you enjoy trivia, organizing content, and hosting a lively evening in English?
The Quiz Night leader:
• Collects quiz questions written by the previous winning team
• Assists with PowerPoint slides as needed
• Hosts the evening — introducing presenters, guiding the rounds, grading quizzes, and announcing winners
Fabrice continues as our audio-visual technician at O’Sullivan’s Pub, so technical support is already in place.
Travel Share – Activity Leader
Do you enjoy travel, storytelling, and helping others share their experiences?
The Travel Share leader:
• Finds members who are willing to present (they create their own slide presentations)
• Organizes the schedule of speakers
• Hosts the evening by introducing presenters and guiding the Q&A
Fabrice also provides audio-visual support for these evenings at O’Sullivan’s Pub.
BCA Is Powered by Volunteers — Could You Start Something Fun ?
Not every activity has to be long-term or formal. Some of our most enjoyable gatherings began with one simple idea and someone willing to say, “Let’s try it.”
June Beach Picnic – Activity Lead Needed
This relaxed summer gathering just needs someone to get it started.
The leader:
• Chooses a date and meeting spot (with a few friends if you like)
• Posts the invitation on BCA Buddies
• Helps coordinate basic details
Everyone brings their own picnic, chair or blanket, and something to share. Members with cars may offer rides, and others can share public transportation tips. It’s informal, social, and easy to organize.
New Activity Ideas Welcome
Would you enjoy organizing something new — even just once?
A few possibilities members have mentioned:
• Bowling evenings
• Wine tasting tour
• Dinner Together (weeknight or Saturday evening)
• Saturday Lunch Together
Or perhaps you have a completely different idea.
Every BCA activity you currently enjoy began because someone stepped forward with a simple idea and a willingness to give it a try. You don’t have to do it alone — we’re happy to help you get started.
